Gintama is a shounen anime that has a mix of comedy, action, and like a lesson in life (not really, but w/e). More on the comedy side and some action can be found unless in some arcs where it's got mostly action (still has comedy, I believe). It doesn't really have a "plot" but that's basically the best part of it.

I personally think it's a kick ass series that owns just about 99.9% of the Shounen Anime/Manga (the other .1% being something that might come up in the future).
