Most anime in general is aimed at adults (unlike what most shounen fan people think)
Only about 5% of all anime is made for non-adults. This is because in Japan there is no sutch thing as "series" in TV. What you find on TV are game shows, the weirdest comercials u've ever seen. And maybee documentaries and the news. Anime makes up for Japanese normal TV missing series with it's shows. Most Salarymen (prounced SaRaRiMaNn in japanese

) record anime on there tivo or whatever, and watch it when they have time (anime shows at like 12:00 pm till 3 AM in the morning, unless it's made for kids when it will show in prime time).

I have personal expeirence of this as I stayed up late while in Japan to watch anime
