Well I was originally born in Bosnia, southern Europe. I live in the US. Some of the anime's I found to be worthwhile were:

Trigun
Some of the Gundams (like Endless Waltz)
Ruroni Kenshin
GetBackers
Cowboy Bebob
Ghost in the Shell (although confusing as hell, CSI warped about 100 times)
Bleach
Bokurano (interesting story with this one)

Thats pretty much the A-list. There are many more but names dont pop into my head easily.

Oh and Ketsurui...I heard Cristiano Ronaldo is doing well all around. ;)
