Anime to avoid at all costs - FTP-Anime Forums

I need a warning as to what anime to avoid alltogether. So I'm wondering if anyone created a haz-mat thread.

I'll simply warn you all to stay away from Apocalypse Zero at all costs. Even if you're curious don't touch it, the anime is pure evil.

From what I'm seeing on Gantz, at least it has fan service. Apoc 0 only sought to gross the audience out.

finding a hazmat thread of anime is impossible, unless u go into hentai, anime is ment to fit to different audeinces, which means what you might see as bad might also be good to others. For instance i really don't see naruto as being that good, yet there is a whole fanbase out for it. On the other hand I like shows like The end of Eva or Elfen Lied and even higurashi (wich will probably scare the shit out of you) where there is death, religious symbols, and exteremnly complext plots that I'm sure some people out there don't like. With that being said, if you want to watch good anime, then I can tell you some "bad" animes to not watch:p

Like futakio alternative.... that show was just bad >.<

I see what you mean, taste. However like films, there is bad anime. Either the concept was bad, or the writing was bad, or the acting was bad. I remember CN had a string of anime they showed that stunk out loud. For example, Cutey Honey. Love the fanservice, but as far as plot, it gets old fast.

lol talking about cute honey... I have a freind in my anime club (two of them actually) who rate that as one of their favorite series... Again with anime it's mostly taste, unless u go into shows like X or some other reallllly baddddd anime... but i've only seen one really bad one, that being X .....
make that 2 with futakio alternative, but I just didn't like that show, my other freind does like it.

I think its alo only taste but 1 thing is sure it also has to do with age. Youre not gonna show elfenlied to 10 years old kids. It is a typical Adult anime. More simpilistic anime's like Naruto or Cute Honey are for kids. Anime's with a high rate of gore are made for adults.

Only about 5% of all anime is made for non-adults. This is because in Japan there is no sutch thing as "series" in TV. What you find on TV are game shows, the weirdest comercials u've ever seen. And maybee documentaries and the news. Anime makes up for Japanese normal TV missing series with it's shows. Most Salarymen (prounced SaRaRiMaNn in japanese

) record anime on there tivo or whatever, and watch it when they have time (anime shows at like 12:00 pm till 3 AM in the morning, unless it's made for kids when it will show in prime time).

I have personal expeirence of this as I stayed up late while in Japan to watch anime
