Kino's Journey - FTP-Anime Forums

Just finished the " Kino's Journey" box set.
It is the story of a traveler, a class of people who just go from place to place and see what each place has to experience.
Viewing just the Japanese language version I did not realize that Kino was a girl.
(I've got to learn to speak Japanese, soon.)
The stories vary in length from about five min. to spanning two shows.
It reminds me a little of the story "The Little Prince"
The end was a little depressing because there is a lot more I want to know.
Who is this "Teacher"?
What was her Origin?
Will there be more shows?

i saw a bit of it...found it a bit boring...a talking bike??over-dramatasised as well

How many episodes?

The set includes 13 episodes.
But the number of stories is more than that.
In some of the episodes have her visiting more than one place.
Each visit to a town or city is a story some short some longer.
Like it was said by the other poster stated her companion for all her travels is talking motorcycle.
The cycle acts as an plot device to help Kino expound on the situations as they happen of give information about what has happened before and what they expect to happen in the town that they are going to next.
The cycle has a habit of every one and a while saying the wrong word.
I don't know, because of my limited Japanese speaking skill, if the wrong word is a Japanese homonym or just a random word.
If it's a homonym it may be some pun that the Japanese would get, but to me its just a random word.

the english dubbibng was terrible!!!!i nearly fell asleep ,n as i said it was over dramatasised

I am studying the Japanese language.

When I get a new show, I watch it the first time with the subtitles and just enjoy.

The second time I try to listen to the show and get the word order along with the translation.

Other times I just put on the show when I am doing some thing else, just to get my mind used to the sound of natural speech.( While I am doing this I have "Wolf's Rain" ep. 9 "Misgivings" playing in the background.)
