It's not old school action/martial arts type but more like Mushi-shi. The settings is classic and it's fantasy. Well it's still good and worth to watch

A good entataining fantasy-adventure, with a begin, a middle and an end.
Nice.

This is deffinitly one I'd recommend to a fist time Anime viewer. It's about as mainstream as you can get.
