I liked Novell back in the day. You'd set that bad-boy up, and just forget about it. Only drawback it was a memory hog. A server needed 1GB of RAM, and it was good to go.

Most people I talk to who have used Novell say it sucks...

Them's fightin' words. But seriously, it was a great OS up until about 2000. Then MS gained the upper hand in the network wars. Problem is, Novell simply could not keep up with all the new portable devices, plus the fact that networks are plugged in seamlessly to the inet. We had problems setting up migrating accounts, for laptop/palm users. And the security wasn't as robust as what MS provided. It's just that, so many things go wrong with a MS system vs. a handful on the old Novell.

Yeah Vlad linux is the next superior generation in os evolution....

In most cases, yes. Though not when it comes to gaming and doing things with multimedia, which is quite a shame...

Give it time, just need some artists and dejected Mac users to amp up the multimedia.

Well, if Windows 7 is a fluke as well, then I'm sure "we'll" have a lot more linux users

I know I know ... you're right with that but it's not the fault of linux....it is DIRECTX made by microsoft and firms like EA and ACTIVISION....
