Help With uTorrent 1.8.1

I have been using the uTorrent for a while to get some of the shows at Demonoid. When the files finish downloading the torrents say that they are "Seeding" but the number of seeders does not go up and even though there are a number of peers still needing parts of the files I show no uploading.

Do I have to do something special to flip the torrent from peer to seed?

I have tried reading the help section but can not find any help that goes with what I want to do. I want to make sure that after I get the shows that I can return the favior to others.

There are some possibilities possibilities:

1) Port forwarding
2) check the max uploads number.
3) UPnP problem
I recommend checking this site or this one for help

i was gonna say what xyw said.. if u cant find it.. go to ur modems configurations

NAT problems are very common if you use router. I have them too, because I'm too lazy to play with modem config

1)Been trying to get the Port Forwarding to work but the web page they directed me to only left me more confused.
Every Port number I check is no good.
2)Only run 4 torrent at a time and upload is set to 4.
3)UPnP ?

LOL, you really should do that first
And if there is port problem, your ISP might block them. Ask him.

O.K.
I checked the links you gave me and I did add a port in my fire wall to give uTorrent additional access to the internet, it gave me more green time on the connections. But I still have the problem that when I finish a Download I still continue to upload to the piers, but i am still not included in the Seeds.

There is a torrent that i am presently trying to down load on Film School Tests that the original Seeder says he has a low bandwidth problem and will seed only when he is not using his computer.

After I get the full download I would like to be a seeder to help get the torrent out.

Don't worry. You'll seed aoutomatically after you DL full torrent file. If peers can't connect to you it means you are Passive(DC++ users know) so only active users can connect to you. Ask you ISP about public IP.

My program is working better and I am still uploading most of the time.
The Status tab says that I am seeding, but I still see in the Peers tab that there a number { 0(33) for the Film Theory Tests Torrent}?

What does Passive mean?
And what do "DC++ users know"?
