| well, yesterday I was happily using my LAPTOP and sometime somehow it completely freeze, but somehow the mouse still working... i let it there for like 15-20 min, to see if it comes back to life again, but no results so, forced shutdown, and after that it never wake up again i doesn't even show the Bios, neither even BOOT up, show nothing on the screen i mean NOTHING . it just light the power led, caps lock and num lock lights, an stay there like for 15 sec, and die again !!! looking like crazy for any help, but nothing helpful !!! if someone has a better help, not just to tell me my laptop is DEAD !!!! i would gladly accept any help !!!

| Your mainboard is dead. Try sales return. If not possible, then your only choice is to buy a new one. But you can take the disk from the old one and try to get data from it. |

| yepp has to be mainboard... Stop using the laptop in your bed or on your knee and block the ventilation holes..... My sister has done the same thing several times and it has died 3 times once it have had the mainboard switched then second it was revived by me and killed 3 days later by my sister once again..... Always keep the laptop/notebook on a flat place such as a table and not on a blanket.... |

| All you need is high pressure air to be blow into the fan of the laptop to blow out all dust+damaged parts ![]() I really don't think its possible to revive it unless you get a new mainboard to it, if you still have insurance then use it... |

| well !!! it looks like it's really DEAD !!! i never use it in my bed or legs, just that since i installed Ubuntu 8.10 for some programs to use in my OS class, it started to heat like hell, and the fans didn't do their job really good... so it looks like the mobo is fried !!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() i'll try to make a back up, since a friend has an exact same laptop !!!

| hehe..... Send the NB to me and i will open it up replace the Main board with another one of a former NB i have lying around then i "borrow" all anime you have there and later on send it back after some installations |

| i will love, but since im in Guatemala, i think its really hard to do it !!! an even i didn't have much anime there just like 2 animes !!! all my othre anime is in DVD, and in external HDD !!! just in case, something like this happens !!!!
