MKV to AVI

HELP!!!!!

I have several mkv files that need converting and I have no idea which software I should use.

I have total video converter but everytime I try to convert an MKV file I get an error message:

Cant resample!
aborting

The TVC HUD propmtly closes and I am left fuming.

I've tried using winAVI but it leaves a horrible watermark on the video.

Any suggestions?

I have strait jacket and gilgamesh movies doing nothing.

look like koyote looks promising just haven't try that one
i was using TVC but no prob till now... maybe you just have to update the codecs of mkv... but not sure about that ... !!!

I've downloaded [but not used yet] SUPER @ SUPER .. I have some mkv to do, so if you use, it could you post and let us know how it works? I have heard of some false possitives [for virus or malware] in relation to this, but I ran it thru a gammut of tests and it passed w/no problems. Be advised - it installs icons 4 or 5 different places!

BTW - SUPER stand for Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer.

If you still having can't get one I have a program that will do it and I believe a crack for it somewhere... It wont however, if there are subtitles, get them if they are muxed in but it will convert the video. If that's the case don't bother if not just email me or pm me or something and I'll get back to u

I thought that updating the codecs would do it but accordig to codec detective evrything is up to date.

Edit: I manualy ran an update on my codec packs etc. everything seems in order blasted windows xp


It could be a hardware conflict somewhere.

I've tried installing SUPER (it's meant to be real effective) before tell a lie I couldn't even touch the file cos blasted Avast is so damn anal.

That warning alarm is annoying and funny as hell........ I joke.

Other wise I wouldn't be using TVC, it's finnicky at times but gets the job done but you need more than one conversion program.

you could use Aimersoft Video Converter it can convert anything to anything and very easy, but converting speed is a bit slower

i have a converter i use i can copy/paste the instructions from the forum i found it in. it works great and there is also a demux app to get the subs off mkv to put on the other format you are trying to convert to
Well for converting the videos I use the Allok Video Converter.

Allok Video Converter

In the case of MKV files you can use this Subtitle Ripper. After you load the video in Allok, you then select the video you want to add the subtitles for, click the green arrow on the right panel, and then select the Sub File you previously ripped using this program.

And if you don't have the appropriate codecs to convert or read the videos, the K-Lite Codec Pack should hopefully be all you need.

I use Convert X to DVD. I downloaded it from a torrent with a keygen that way it can be registered with VSO so it can be updated. It handles all formats even rmvb. I use it all the time so I can watch it on my DVD player.

I got 1 problem.... whenever i convert my MKV video.. It always lost its audio...
