okay so here goes, heres just a couple of the ones i made recently...[ i paint and dont make manga/anime TOO often...]

one here is a fanart of Black Rock Shooter, this one was made in PS cs3 and took a while, i meant for it to be a poster print...but i never got around to the printing of it. However the file [the original one anyways, is actually set to print, so yup, i could send that if anyone actually wants one [ahaha, not that they might~~n.n;;;] anyways yeah:

and the second onnnee, is an original character. her name is Xephy and the thing next to her [fish thing?] is her mount, Sammi. They are characters for something im working on, a personal project i guess. but yeah, there ya go, a quick peek.

i just checked them out again and now i think #2 is my favorite!!! the detail in the face is simple and complex at the same time - clean - that's the word it clean!
your attention to the shadowing and shading is fantastic.

thanks you guys. this is great, im so glad to have some feedback from you guys. next time ill post some in progress/concept design stuff and get your input on it. the viewers opinion is as important as any artists.

@tom, thanks man, its sweet of you to say that. ill def post more things up! ah yeah i work with many dif coloring methods, so youll never know what youll get, it can range from cel animation to painterly digital, to actual traditional paints. anyways, thanks a bunch for the replies~much appreciated.

@hentai Mark, thanks for the support. :> its really nice to know people like my art. ahaha... it def keeps me going to know i made a successful image. but yah, i dont do fanart too often, but when i do, i enjoy it quite a bit. I'll def keep em coming.

i thought of the fish because i once was watching Nat Geo and saw this sunfish...




my story takes place in a desert, and i thought it would be cool to have the equivalents of sea creature but for the sand living in it. I really like the simplicity of the shape it has. Theres alot to look at in nature~ i always recommend taking a look at animals and plants when designing creatures, it helps alot!

also, i was wondering if there is anyway to really know when someone has replied further on these posts, other than to check them manually? i sometimes miss a thread i posted and wont see the responses for a while because i forgot i even posted them. well if not, i guess ill just have to learn to be less forgetful! n.n; may be a good thing!
