A nice little piece my friend came up with a while back, it was originally placed on a photo he took of me (one of many after I climbed up a Birmingham NIA carpark ).

This world is my playground
And I control the winds
Just as I control the movement
The movement of my life.

This next one's mine, fitting of my recent circumstance.

New Life

A lifetime burdened, sad and alone
Scars will tell tales of how the wolfs eyes shone.
Tales of valor, bravery; hate and disgust.
A soul chained down by it's own deeds.

A light in the dark and hope anew
Rescued the wolf right out of the blue.
A loving face, an honest smile.
Someone whom I could die for.

This feeling of warmth, safety and harmony
Has destroyed all trace of anxiety.
A new cause to live for.
A fresh hope to fight for.

And then a shared, passionate embrace
And within this world I finally find my place.
A legacy to new life.
A promise of everlasting joy.

And so new life looks to be taught,
And the father has decided to become the right sort.
A man to be proud of.
A hero to be an example.

Plucked from the abyss,
This is one opportunity that wasn't missed.
Finally love is understood.
Finally love is felt.

And from the ashes of my former misdeeds,
An heir to usher in a brighter creed.

I've always been partial to writing poetry. I'm glad you guys enjoyed reading it.

I have to say I don't feel that particular piece was one of my best work, but I'm writing about something that can never be explained.

I'll come up with some better stuff in future, I think I'll write one about my dog. Ooooh, which reminds me, I'm gonna put a pic of him up on here .

I love your poetry. I may not be a critic.. but you have a way of expressing yourself sort of with an impact but subtle. I'm not the kind of person that's into poetry but when I read some that are great its quite inspiring and it leaves an impression that lasts. I hope you can do more. Don't allow your creative wheel to stop! It must keep on turning!
