| I decided to see if anyone else was a little sceptical of the new and existing motion controllers on the market. So we have the Wii remote (released w/ console) 2 controllers Kinect for the 360 (to be around US$150) no Controllers W-Kinect is scheduled to launch worldwide starting with North America on November 4, 2010-W Playstation Move for the PS3 (with eye camera) 2 controllers W-PlayStation Move is slated for launch in the PAL region and most Asian markets on September 15, 2010, in North America on September 19, 2010, and in Japan on October 21, 2010.-W So what are the pro's and con's to these new 'must have' technologies. Are they really going to work as well as they should or in the Wii's case do they? The Wii was supposed to get us fit and active, but instead people waggled rather then swung. The same result could be achieved in most instances with a little shake rather then the large swing, I think they thought would happen. The Kinect? Another thing to tax the 360's cooling systems, more red rings around I think. The Move, basically coping the Wii, but rather better, using the glowing obs on the end for the best 3D measurements with the least amount of effort from the console. But how long will it be before we put these controllers down and reach for the most likely better original's in the PS3 and 360 controllers. Have you seen how you play a FPS game with the move? You line them up like a gun barrel, the two controllers end to end, stand up and mimic using a gun. No I don't know about you but I don't want to stand up for ages playing a shooter, I would have to lift my Tv up about a foot just to be able to play the game. Please share your opinions and news if you want to. Or you experiences with either of the three, if you have used them at the E3 or when they come out. Bold W's are quotes from Wikipedia

| LOL good point wolf.... as for me I'm an old gamer. I don't like the idea to be "forced" to jump around move the controlls so much and things like that. What I found usefull is the vibration function so you feel if your char is hit or in race games you hit an object but the way the industy wants the player to interact (looking at the wii controls for instance) nah that is not for me. If I want a workout I train the way I see fit... if I want to play I want to sit tight without hmm how do you say that in English "rumhampeln" ah well hope you got my point LOL If this method of controlling device turns out to be exclusive that you can't play the "usual" way (mouse keyborad, pad without the funky wii nunchaku whatever thing) then I'm getting out of there...

| I'm with you guys. I'm 19 and love games. Me and my mate both like to sit and play the games with normal controllers. PS3 have the Dual shock vibrate function and it is sweet. I remember in Metal Gear Solid 1 and 4, Mantis would take it over and it would vibrate by itself, magik! And then you would have to swap the memory cards so he couldn't control you. It was funny when the guy rang you on the codec and said snake swap the memory cards and you'll break his control. When I'm gaming, I'm not pressing X to fire I'm pressing fire, as good games suck you in and you feel involved. If I have to jump around and mimic the actions of a character to induce them to jump or fire, well my room will be wrecked and it will be loud, me jumping around every where breaking walls and windows. And can you imagine multi player, that will be carnage. But that won't happen because Sony and Microsoft are making a serious effort to isolate us all. I mean every game now only has online multi player, you can't play with your mates in the one place. Also you would have to stand up the whole time when playing a first person shooter or role play game. These games demand serious time investment to get the most fun out of them and I don't and can't stand up straight for hours.

| While I can definitely respect the technology that goes into it, I think motion controls are one of the worst ideas in gaming history. This may sound old school but I like buttons and dpad movements and I hate having games get delayed so they can support controls I will never use.

| I already hate using the analog sticks on my ps3 and never bought in to the wii gimmick... But my girl's family loves it since Nintendo has more family-oriented games. Just Sony and Microsoft trying to get into the action I'm spending my money elsewhere, like the dlc content for Dragon Age: Origins |

| Still rockin' that game eh? I let go of it a long time ago. Bioware did not really absorb me in that game as it did in some of its others.
