Role Playing Games - FTP-Anime Forums

I've been thinking to ask this from all of you, so now I'll do it. Do you play RPG and if you do, what do you play? You can include pc and console games but I mean LARP (Live Action Role Play), board and card games.

I've played Magic The Gathering. I still own cards but haven't been able to play for a while because most of my friends don't play anymore.

Then there is Munchkin.

It's a hilarous parody card game. You don't have to like RPG to like it. Main goal in the achieve level 10. It's not easy when your fellow players try to back stab you. I'm not sure that how much I'm allowed to tell before it's counted as commercial so you can google it or ask more if interrested. One thing I must add is that you can desing your own cards if you like.

I've also played larp but we didn't go to a forest dressed up as elves. We played at my friends house were we gathered in a room. One gamekeepper and the rest of us had one character. Every one desingned their character and if you needed help you got it. For some reason names were always really difficult to come up with. We also played other versions were we used dices it was fun too. That's one hobby I wish to be able to continue in the future but it remains to be seen.

Now it is your turn tel tel your stories but if questions will come up then you'll only have to ask. ;)

I used to play on a RP server on WoW but I got bored of it.

KO and RS? Sorry I am not familiar with abbreviations so if you could teach me it would be easier for me. Thanks in advance

I tried to be ready for WoW but it was mentioned too soon. Yeah in a long run wow became dull. In my case it happend faster because when I started my adventures there once again none of my friends played it any more and I could not find a good group where to play. MMORPG games are all ways the same. Run around slay beasts and after you go to "party" with friends. Basic idea works but it needs more working hours to modify the enviroment that you could really have a decent role playing game in there. I know that my expectations may be way up too high, but it's just me. Visual side should be more, how I should say it..... More realistic kind. (not talking about wow)

its a concept that is hard to get in a mmorpg but I think GuildWars succeeded greatly.

Knight Online and Runescape. I'm so used to abbreviating them that I didn't even stop to consider that no one would understand

...both of which are probably two of the worst, most time consuming, mmorpgs out there, both with terrible userbases.

KO by itself was pretty good, but less then 5% of the people on the servers actually spoke fluent english, and the vast majority of the people used some kind of cheating software, and I could go on...

Sorry I never played such games and I think I'll never do so. I'll stay with 1st person shooter and point&click games....

I unfortunately don't have time to play anything lately...
