Aliens: Colonial Marines

This is an upcoming title being developed by Gearbox Software, the same guys that made Halo 1 for the PC. As you see, the game will revolve around the Aliens franchise, where the player will take control of a squad of 4 US Colonial Marines throughout familiar and brand new locales and right after the movie Aliens 3. The meat and potatoes of this game is not that it will be graphically awesome or scary as hell, but in the fact that you can play 4 player split screen co-op! That is something i never saw before in an FPS, and its certainly got my attention. Also, the story has to do with the squad of Marines looking for Ellen Ripley and the squad she had with her (because they were never all confirmed dead) and investigating what happened to the ships and the planet the Aliens originated from. I got my eyes peeled for this one. All info is either speculation or very much preliminary at this point, so there is not much to say. However, its a game I will certainly keep my eye out for. Its due for release later this year. You guys heard anything about it? What do you think of the features so far?

Hmpf, Why is it Colonial marines everytime something like this comes...?
Couldn't it be something more original??
But I'm looking forward to it (I like Halo much)

Colonial Marines is very much an effective title and pretty original. I like the fact that it details the adventure (or horror scape ) of a bunch of previously unknown soldiers who try hard to save their comrades and maybe the world instead of it being some cliche hero, you know? Its always rewarding for me to play as unknown soldier who saves the world in his own way behind the scenes...
