Which one did you prefer? Acen or Otakon? And what were the differences? |

Haven't been to any. Was going to go to the one in Dallas, but dadgum tickets were $100/day. I like freak shows, but not that expensive.

They have tons of guests. The convention started out small time, but after it's fifth year it exploded into a major event. They got folks coming from all over just to go to "A-con in D-town". So with greed being in style in America, the ticket prices inflated.

Folks plan vacations around stuff like that. Get you about $3,000 stored up, and blow your wad on the trip. As for what you get out of it...some swag, photos, and hard to find anime/manga.

eeeeeeeeeeerm....Okay, I can understand the anime/manga part if they're really really hard to find and you've been looking for them for years. But other than that, it's just too expensive in my opinion. |

most conventions don't go for that mutch.
Acen, which I live closest too only goes for $50 for the entire convention. Otkaon is like $40 for the entire convention. Now buysing stuff there is expensive but you can get a lot of cool things ![]() Personally I perfer Otakon, it's more organized and stuch, but it's farther away....

Yeah in America, greed is a nat'l religion. I heard the Star Trek thing in Vegas, will cost you an arm and a leg.
