If I'd be able to vote, it would go to Obama. He seems to have good ideas and guts to turn USA into new direction and leave rest of the oil where it truly belongs. In the ground. FInally somebody there wuold think our planet too. Hopefully at least

McCain is like Bush's twin. Why would Bush give his endorsement to McCain if he doesnt think McCain will only continue his legacy? McCain himself has said that there will be no timetable for troop withdrawal and the wars will continue as long as is necessary...in this case, probably forever. What the hell are the circumstances for withdrawal? There are none! The troops will stay there forever it seems! Obama at least has some sense, and has shown his wits to be true when he said that Afghanistan is the true war we need to fight, and not some back door oil acquisition attempt in Iraq...

at first i was for Obama now i don't know their both going to be bad for the country. one of them really need to start stepping it up. if Obama were to get into office i would hope he will listen to the generals. and McCain will kill our ecomany even worse than bush

As always, all presidential candidates will need some smoothing of rough edges as they go about their business. I agree that Obama needs to admit that American generals have a lot more battle experience than him and that he needs to suck it up and accept their advice. In addition, his proposed 16 month troop withdrawal plan is something I do not accept at this point. Currently, I do not agree with a pullout whatsoever until it is demonstrated, and not just claimed, that the Iraqi security forces can handle things from now. So far, I am not impressed by their performance. However, Obama has a good plan for the overall betterment of our tattered and fleeting country. The United States used to be great. It used to be a great power...a power that was used to serve our world and defeat some of the greatest tyrants this world has ever seen. I love the country for that, but ever since the Vietnam War it has taken a turn for the worse and started using its power to impose its will and agenda on others. This has to change, and I believe Barack has the right idea, albeit with a few kinks that can be worked around easily. What do I have to say about McCain in this regard? Heh...the idiot recently blamed Obama for higher oil prices. That should just about sum up his intelligence.

I guess someone can take out Hillary now and add in presidential candidates of the other parties (I think there's only Green and Independant left??)

the Iraqi military is definitely not ready to take over yet. but they are slowly getting better. Obama needs to get off this idea of a time line. even though the Iraq government wants us out by 2010. doesn't mean we can't leave before or after that. it all depends on the on the current stste of thing there and in the us
