Don't laugh, she's been a reliable little warthog. I wish I could keep her, but she's getting long in the tooth. I want a Honda Fit, maybe from Japan, but I will not pay $15K for it. Prices for Hondas in the US are overinflated. Thanks to too many stupid folks with too much money wanting a more fuel efficient car to replace their gas guzzling SUVs.

Bessie has over 500k on her. The odometer says 375k, but the cable broke on me awhile back, and so the odometer's not accurate.
But I'll have to trade her in, I want another little warthog looking station wagon. My three choices: -Kia Rio Cinco -Toyota Matrix -possibly *shudder* an American car like a chevy or other GM. I really want the Honda Fit, but I ain't paying $15 grand for a little car. Too bad I can't import one of the Japanese Fits.

Had a bad experience with Peugeot. And mazda got bought out by ford, and well let's just say, Ford and good engineering go together like Germany and France around world cup time.

What!!! My chevy runs great and it gets good gas mileage considering that it runs at full throttle almost all the time. It only uses half of a 5 gallon tank in 30 laps, on a third mile thats... *thinks* About 5 miles to a gallon (3.79 liters) of gas, and we buy the expensive 110 octane stuff at $7 a gallon. Wait, it gets better. You could pay 15 grand for a Fit, or you could pay $2,500 for an old beat up Chevy Monte Carlo and have a car you can actually fix yourself. Seriously... Check ebay motors.

And for that beat up Monte Carlos, you can get 17mpg fuel efficiency, and a messed up linkage system that needs replacing every 20k miles.
Or you could get a Honda with 30mpg, and not experience an engine problem until about 100k. I guess it comes down to how much frustration you're willing to put up with.
