Baka-Wolf, anybody else had this kind of experiance?

I have had an account over at bakawolf forums/site for a while now, well i dont post much because, to be very honest i just havent had time, so i go to look for some new anime to grab since i just finnished the seasons of the ones i was watching.

they force me to read a topic about how their chatbox isnt compatable with ie7, ok sall good, at least till i reply with a post linking opera beta's and firefox+firefox x64, as well as my forums(i keep updated links to opera and other software there as well)

i just made a post saying effectivly,

it would have been nice/smart to link some other browsers for those who are still using IE

then linking opera, safari, firefox(x86 and x64)

tossed the admin(orignal poster) a pm with the same information.

his reply shocked me, he went off on me for "spaming my site" and "shameles self promotion", and "insulting staff"

i had done NONE of that, i put 1 link to my forums/site like this

"I also update my site news every time a new opera beta comes out, <link to forums> if anybody just wants to check there"

and i dont see how pointing out that somebody should have linked other browsers is insulting staff.....

sorry if this seems messed up to post here, but, well i just wana know if im the only one thats been attacked/slaped by the staff over there for trying to be helpfull.

btw, i know im not to acctive here, but i have been linking ftp for a while and till we moved the forums i was updating the shingofumi thred regularly(the move broke attachment updates......reported to my host, hes trying to figuar out what he did )

again sorry if this seems out of line/place, im just a little upset/confused, im so layed back that i cant see why somebody would attack somebody for trying to be helpfull.

yeah, im a mod/admin for a few forums, cant name most because im payed staff(manager for the forums since the owners are to dence to deal with SMF admining...)

just never had somebody jumo my ass for trying to be helpfull like that pratt....

his excuse is that they get alot of spamers and attackers, but he admited my post wasnt spam...............WTF.........

prick, oh well, they lost a seeder for their torrents, also gained somebody who will tell people to leach their direct downloads insted of grabing the torrent........treat people baddly, get what you deserve.......

b4 this i was telling people to seed the stuff they did back 2:1 or better, but now....screw that.......sorry but i wont help somebody who has no respect for those who are just trying very hard to be helpfull......

i dont get that feeling here as when i pm'ed the admin/mod about my attaching torrents to my post on ashentech i didnt get a "dont do that" or anything, and yes i also linked here, just more likely people will just grab the torrent off my post then go to each thred for each epsode to grab it (other then new eps i havent uploaded yet)

Well, I guess here we're more like about the respect you mentioned, even if your links were against our rules, we wouldn't suddenly ban you and whatever...

As of me, I'm lazy when I moderate stuff, so I'm the least dangerous dude in that area here.
