Ah, the wonderful world of physics. You love it, you hate it, but we all experience it. There are a whole bunch of fields within physics, and I am sure that anyone who is even remotely interesting in physics has a favorite field. My personal preference is Astrophysics, as it deals with the movements of entire galaxies! This thread is for physics discussion only. Stay on topic please. If you dont, I will hand out lashes. This is a magnificent scientific field, and I encourage everyone to take the helm and discuss, ask questions and offer insight and expertise.

I had the idea for a physics thread long before. I just forgot to implement it.

Thats to be decided as the thread moves on. Its likely that not many people will post, but there is a lot to say, so a few people should be able to keep the thread flowing.

Ok, here goes.

dx/dt = velocity
dv/dt = acceleration
da/dt = jerk

Is there anything beyond jerk?

Same here, I'm dreading the section on Optics.

Lots of trig and material constants.

For some it is and for others it's quite a logical subject (to a certain level).
It's like asking if math is difficult (which is easy for some and difficult for others).
