The "Share something about yourself" Character Building Activity

Recently, I've been thinking that there's really some part of everybody that they keep inside of them - and it's unhealthy to keep things like that inside without expressing them occasionally. So, what I propose is everyone list three facts about themselves that they consider embarrassing in this thread. For instance, a guy who has some feminine qualities about him could list those and vice-versa.

This way, you can perhaps find someone who faces the same difficulties as you and you can use that to build a friendship online, even if you never meet face to face. Obviously, don't give out personal information, and if there's someone you know who uses these boards, understand that they may happen to stumble along this thread one day and read this

By letting out our feelings and our secrets, we lift a self-imposed burden on ourselves and by lifting that burden, our lives become so much easier to live and we are more free to be ourselves, both online and offline. It's amazing how much we can help our souls merely by sharing our personal feelings, and remember: be honest.

The whole purpose of this activity is to build character, and I'm making this thread because I want to help the community and I truly believe, from the bottom of my heart, that this will help. I'll start things off with what I believe are the three most embarrassing attributes about myself, and remember - keep it appropriate.

1. I'm a guy, yet I still try to work for an hourglass figure.
2. I cry a lot in secret, because I'm truly a sappy guy and I don't like it when other people around me know my feelings (For those of you who watched Clannad, I was watching it the other day and couldn't even concentrate on episode 9 because I was in tears the entire time).
3. I'm a very insecure person and I take out my insecurities by constantly joking around and never being too serious with anything. I also feel insecure about how I would "perform" with a woman, and the fact that I've never had a chance to "perform".

i don't mean this to sound rude, but who are you? could you introduce yourself to the other members when you're asking them to bare their hearts here? you might want to read this first.

also, i REALLY like to read the "About Me's". thank you for the small amount of info you DID put in there. but would you consider adding more info about yourself there? this link will take you to where you can add more.

while i appreciated members trying to "help the community" - we only know you're a brand new male member called Betrayer, you've watched at least three animes and three intimate things bout you - so far. how old are you? what type of anime do you like? what part of the world are you from? anything about you - just tell us here - so everyone can meet you.

ok, ill let you into the little world of u4ria

1/ apart from my family and few freinds i dont care about anything else because as ive learned over the last 30 years nothing else is worth worrying about.

2/ i have a wicked sense of humour which can upset most people but again i dont care because people should relise life is life and joke is a joke. (i can totaly remove humor from for real life)

3/ i love my children and dont know what i would do with out them all BUT sometimes i wish me and wife had never had them because life and this planet is total shit and at the moment the future looks very bleak.

4/ i live by these simple saying's "never look and gift horse in the mouth and nothing in life is free"

5/ I can be very random and will say/type things without thinking about it untill someones goes totaly ape shit because i offended them, then i just dont care.... look at point 2.

I dont know how RJD runs mod recruiting here on the board, but personaly id say lets get to know you first, what type of person you are and how you handle people, also how active you are and in what ways.
But thats the way i use to handle recruitment on another board and at the end of the day RJD's the big cheif around here.

that doesn't seem to be what others have listed, but i'll try to do this the way you want it, trayer.

1.] i HATE crying. i mean outright crying. HATE it. i probably should be ok with it ... but i HATE it! crying in front of anyone embarrasses me GREATLY.

2.] i walk all bent up and hobbley @ 51 years old. like i'm 90 sometimes. [HATE that too, but it is what it is] i find that VERY embarrassing in public - but not so much @ home with family who understands.

3.] i work at not judging ppl [and do pretty good too nowadays] - but when i find that i have judged someone ... especially wrongly - i find that embarrassing - because i MUST come clean and even apologize when circumstances call for it. i don't mind apologizing, but fessing up to that kind of ignorance is DEFINATELY embarrassing!

now don't you feel better wolf? hmmm .... well this was harder than i thot - at 51, little embarrasses me in life now.

i had a lot in common with you, trayer, when i was your age - but age brings security in one's self, wisdom, and something else that i'm too brainless to remember!

4.] i thot of something else - my house is dirty. not terrible [imo], but we have 12 cats and 2 dogs, and we use a woodstove to heat during the winter. so ... dust and hair. not really happy with that ... i LOVE the pets [and my wife who needed all of them!], but i'm embarrassed when ppl come over.
