Hello every1,
Just a curious question regarding HOW & WHEN did u start anime and/or manga. It could be when u discovered Hentai tew .....doesnt matter
This is just a question by to get to know every1 better


4 me, it started as a manga from a buddy of mine in middle school. (btw it was Chobits and A.I. Love You )anyways after reading & watching a few volumes of those, i was sucked into anime related things i bought figurines and model kits to dling episodes online and buying books at local retailers so......plz tell about urs!!

Well not counting all the dubbed anime that I watched on CArtoon Network as a kid
Meaning I wasn't aware at that time that those cartoons were animes
so taking all that out
The first Anime that I watched was
Full Metal Alchemist ... my brother told me about it when one of his friend at the boarding school told him about it... so I checked it out
It was a good start and later on I just used to check YouTube for AMV's
Random ones and if I liked them then I would check out the series
and then when got up to date with the episodes ... I would start with their manga

i started when i was like 6, and the anime was pokemon.
after that, i got into dbz, then db, and then i got into love hina.
love hina i guess was really the starting point.
then i guess it started a huge spiral downwards (in terms of money)
boy, i got like 3000 bucks worth of manga, not including my massive collection of anime....

I only "got into" anime after watching Eureka Seven on Adult Swim, though I'd seen various shows before that; but while I was aware of them being japanese and not english, I wasn't a fan of "anime" as a concept until E7.

My oldest sister's first job was at a video rental store and the first time I visited the store, they had anime cataloged apart from cartoons... I wanted to know what the difference was so my first two anime films I watched were The 801st TTS Airbats and Fist of the North Star the Movie ~ haven't looked back since...

As far as hentai is concerned... I met my wife during sophomore year in high school and she introduced me to it shortly after we started going out ~ Now sharing her collection with this forum

My first introduction to anime was when i was actually six years old in China before i immigrated to America. I think the anime was called Saint Sayans or something. It was basically a cartoon version of power rangers. When i got to the States, i fell in love with Sesame Street and Samurai Pizza Cats. Never liked TMNT though, i guess they were too cool for me.

i started anime when i was 13 my lucky year
my brother and i used to watch dbz on tv and then he d/l an anime (4got the name) but we didnt know it was hentai until we watched it so my first impression of anime wasnt a very good one lol!
but then he d/l Love Hina and i was hooked!!

WELL !!! since were I live there was not much to view i started with DB... about 2 year later, i got to know it wasn't cartoon but anime that was like in 1996 think so
... sitll didn't understand what anime was !!!
then i knew a friend that like it, and he show me a few eps of GITS... and i liked it soo much ... but never came to watch it again...

then around dic 2004 and first months of 2005 i return to live to my home, but we change from house and start living in a new place... here i met a friend that lend me his naruto eps... and by good luck in our new home we have Internet connection, so i started to research more about animes to know more,.... and after that well... i'm stuck with it too !!!
after all that then...well i saw a lot of animes in 1 year... now the studies screw my time... so less anime,

I got you all beat I started with Star Blazers which is considered the grandfather of anime to North America. Which was in the late 70s early 80s. Back then they called it japanimation and then it got shorten to anime then it went to DB and DBZ. Now I am 43 it is Ghost in the Shell, Bleach, FMA etc.

always watched anime. think i started with dbz. moved from there to gundam. the basic cartoon network stuff. a few years after tenchi i got hooked on an old video i found where i recored an episode of tenchi muyo. and i remembered how funny it was me and my friend would rewind and reply a couple second long clip of ryokos boobs bouncing and it got me thinking about the ods that that scene would have origionally been topless. i guess i thought her bikini looked too bright and out of place for the rest of the show. so i put 2 and 2 together and with the power of the interweb via my dialup connection found hentai.
