| no matter what people will download movies and other things that are not supposed to be downloaded. I always download and nothing happens to me but if you get a cease and decease letter then i would stop for a while. Just gotta do what your gut tells you. i dont want to say all illegal things and you get caught for it. Whatever you decide GOOD LUCK! |

| There are no legal ways to get anime for free, unless you get it from a friend or win it in a raffle, sweepstakes etc. The downloading community on this planet is too massive to be silenced. Authorities will forever waste their time treating the symptoms and never the core cause, and not because they choose to to that, but because they cant kill the cause. That also is the reason why they rarely ever catch anyone or bother to go after anyone. There are too many of us out there to commit so many resources. I have never worried about getting caught as I am not a host, and therefore an impossible target. What is so special about me that they decided to get me instead of a pirate somewhere in East Asia? They go after hosts, and MAJOR ones at that (tons of servers, hackers and thousands of pirated titles) so that in the process they deny access to end users as well. Two birds with one stone I suppose, but what many fail to realize is that both birds are immortal. They can be knocked out temporarily, but never truly killed. All in all, you got nothing to be worried about.

| Super Moderator Lord Knight Templar of FTP-Anime | As the others have mentioned there is not much to worry about due to the mass amount of people who download. If you really like an anime you have downloaded buy it to support the studio who made it. Also if you consider the gained attraction an anime obtains for its availability online can cause an anime to become more popular to the anime community. With this gained popularity anime sales can actually increase, or at least the merchandise sales will. So there's not much to worry about, if there were I think they would of gotten me long ago...

| Agreed. I truly belive in supporting things you like so if you really enjoy an anime then you should support the studio so there can be more. However you shouldn't worry about downloading anime. One, anime is expensive and two, If I hadn't illegally downloaded anime, I would never bought the boxsets I have now. But hey if they start really going after people downloading free anime, I'll give you the heads up before that get me cause I'm sure I'm pretty high up on their list myself.
