| Hello everyone! It's time for another (really long, you can also skip everything and just post "welcome") introduction topic; mine. I'm Eris, nice to meet you I joined this forum because I was looking for a place to talk about anime and manga, not too big (I'd remember nobody's names) and not too small (at smaller forums there obviously aren't a lot of people to talk to). And I like the smilies ![]() I'm living in the Netherlands. For those of you who've never heard of that country: it's in Western Europe (across England), and the capital is Amsterdam. Foreingers seem to think we love tulpis a lot. ![]() I'm (currently) only a bare seventeen years old, so I'm still living with my parents. Right now I'm in the last grade of Latin school, after that I'm planning to go study veterinary science. My hobbies are watching anime (obviously), reading manga, reading real books, writing, looking after and riding my horse, competing (and preferably winning!) in dressage and jumping contests with my horse, and spending time with my friends (and boyfriend). There isn't a certain genre I like most, as long as the anime or manga is well made I'd probably like it. I do like a touch of romance even if it's only to get some character development going. For a comlete list, check my anime and manga lists: Eris's Anime List - MyAnimeList.net Eris's Manga List - MyAnimeList.net I wantch more anime than I read manga, but this is mostly because I download anime for free (muhaha), and actually have to buy the manga (staring at the computer screen all the time makes my eyes hurt). Currently my favourite anime is Mushishi, I'm watching two or more episodes a day (I would watch more but don't have enough time to do it). Now I have to hurry to get to school in time, if you've red all of this you're fantastic! Eris

| Hi, what do you mean "at your age"? Didn't I use the right word? Grammar school or Latin school is a type of high school where you also follow latin and old greek. In my country, there are diffrent types of high school, grammar school being the longest and most difficult. PS: I am a girl, not a 'dude'. Or do you call everyone dude? If that's the case it's okay ^,^

| You're so right! Thank you! ![]() I totaly forgot that term is also being used for elementary school, I learned in English class it could also be used for Latin school (in Dutch it's "gymnasium", can't use that word either), but that was from a text written in 1700 or so. Quote from the wiki: "From medieval times, a grammar school was a school for the teaching of Latin (and later other classical languages)."

Haha, thank you, Ghost. I'll try my best to stay far away from hiati (hiatus > hiati? Like in servus > servi? Is that correct?)
