Default Japan in the news

According to the Dutch media 147 people have died in Japan last year by working too hard (usually leading to heart attacks). Also about 176 people attempted suicide (some of them succeeding).

It appears that since the phenomenon of death by overwork is so well known in Japan, there's even a word for it: karoshi.

For the Dutch speaking members, here's the link to the article: http://www.nu.nl/news/1080440/36/Ste..._overwerk.html

Interesting, I saw a documentary on LinkTV about Japanese women who want to divorce their husbands after they retire.

Seems the retired salarymen have to go to couples therapy.

Probably because the women aren't used to see their husbands around the house so often and they get on their nerves...

That is exactly right, very astute.

It's just funny to see rigid Japanese men in therapy sessions with their wives.

Times have really changed.

I'm not sure since I don't see any links and the content is related to japan.
