I was reading about Japanese verb conjugation. They have a past tense, and a present tense, but no future...

So from the languages I've studied:

Vietnamese - it's hard to say just "no"
Spanish - don't "like" anything
Japanese - don't believe in the future
English - borrow enough words from other languages, and you'll eventually make your own

I can't wait until AI takes over the world, and we all speak binary.

Actually it's almost impossible to say a simple "no" to a request also in Japanese.

I'm also learning Japanese using the Genki books (it's only elementary Japanese, but better than nothing). I already know Hiragana and Katakana (which went quite easily) but the vocabulary is kind a harder on me since languages are not my best subject. But luckily I'm doing because I want to and not because I have to so there's still hope .

The Genki books are in total 23 or 24 chapters. I'm hoping to have the first volume (12 chapters) finished by the end of this year and the second volume by July next year. Would be nice if I actually make it .
