It mean hello, my name is dave, how are you doing.
I've been taking japanese for over 3 semesters and am currenlty minoring in Japanese. I hope to go live in Japan one day. I was over in Tokyo last spring and found Japan quite fun.

So i'm here to give out any help in japanese If you wanto learn how to speak the language, read it, or just say a common fraise ask me and I can translate or help :]

I thought a standard translation of "どぞよろしく" was "how do you do," which isn't a question, while "how are you doing" is. And if I remember correctly どぞよろしく literally (though roughly) means "Please take care of me." Am I correct, Dave-san?

How do you say: "My favorite food is..."?

not really, the translation can be skewed. どぞよろしく、is used as a formal way to greet people, for instance when going to a new high school you would say hello to the class this way, or meeting someone new in a company. It also has the meaning, "please take care of me" , though personally I have never heard it being used this way.

I think the best way to learn the pronounciation is by talking to Japanese people.

lol well if we don't have any Japanese people to talk to that doesn't help now does it =P, but the site is just a little cool thing on how to get you to pronounce words better I think it's really cool.

Watching anime isn't bad either

Yeah, combined with watching anime, reading this, listening to other live DJs I learned much about the pronounciation of the words a lot better

Same, but if I go to Japan, I'm sure people will hardly understand me.
My teacher told me that even when he was in Japan, the Japanese men were like: Huh? What did he say?
In Japanese if you're even off my a little bit in pronouciation, the meaning of your sentence may become something else...

Yeah, since Japanese is a sound based language or w/e it's understandable
