Okay, time to get this place running again.
If you've got anything Japan related, please post it here.

Lets get it going.
I have, at work, been using the Pimsleur Japanese Learning system.
Most every day i get about seven hours of listening and practice done.
Every Monday I delete the lowest class and add a new one to the top.
In the new year I hope to start learning to read.
For years I was trying to do both at one and had no luck, until I came to the realization that to learn the language would only work if I learned it the way one naturally learns a language.
First learn to speak the words and then learn what they look like on the page.

Any help, web sites and the like, would be greatly accepted and any thing that I may be able to help you with I will be glad to do also.

You have to install east region language support in your system.
Win XP: start -> settings -> local and language settings -> Languages -> specify(or something like that, I don't use Eng win) -> choose which languages support you want
You need to have Installation CD

Got the language support installed with Language Bar to switch from English to Japanese.
However the bar is set to Japanese as I am typing this.

Just did some more snooping and saw that on the Language Bar has a tiny tiny Button that says KANA, clicked on that and I can now enter Kana.
.....
I am now mapping the locations of the Kana and will start to try and post some stuff.
