Default Japanese conversation

Since we have quite a few people here trying to learn Japanese, I thought it might be a good idea to try to have conversations in Japanese.
I'm a beginner myself, it would be nice to get some practice now and then.
If someone makes a mistake, don't hesitate to correct them, we're here to learn!
(But don't start arguing about whether something is correct or not)

Let's just start with the introductions:

はじめまして。ブラヂミルです。どうぞよろしくおねがいします!

はじめまして。 パタジスです。 どうぞ よろしく。

Vladimir, about your name. ブラヂミル actually is burajimiru and not buradimiru sinci di doesn't exist. At least as far as I know since I'm a beginner too :p.

And with おねがいします at the end, are you trying to say "please to meet you"? If so, are you sure that is correct? Because I think どうぞよろしく is enough.
EDIT: Never mind, adding おねがいします makes it even more polite I just found out.

しつれいします。

Ah, thanks. I was just typing, didn't notice that the di I typed got turned into ji. Thanks.
「ブラディミル」ですね。。。
Yeh, we don't need to be all to polite. But I'm mostly used to speaking/writing politely >.< I'd rather practice some informal Japanese though.

パタジスさんは何さいですか。

LOL, not to stray from topic too much but how do you expect people to learn to pronounce what they see when you write in all kanji? You should probably write it all in romaji too so that people can learn to pronounce it. Cheers.

It's a good question. First of all, I think you mean hiragana/katakana, not kanji. I've only used one kanji so far, namely 何, which is one of the most common ones.
Secondly to answer your question. One of the aims of this conversation is to practice reading and writing. All beginners of Japanese need to learn to read/write hiragana and katakana, since romaji can only get you only so far.
If anyone wishes to write in romaji, that's fine. Writing in hiragana is prefered though. If anyone wishes, they can also look them up. They'll also learn to read it much faster this way.
I'll try not to use too much kanji though. Maybe only a few basic ones now and then.

Right. Well, whatever man. If your intent is to cover everything I fine with it. However, if people just want to learn how to start and end a basic conversation, I doubt they would also want to learn how to write as well. Its a negligible chance at best that they will ever use it that way. Regardless, I guess its a matter of opinion. Peace.

Well, if you'd like to take part in the conversation as well, but don't know any hiragana/katakana yet, I could also write the same thing in romaji for you. For short sentences that shouldn't be a problem.

Basically we started with:
Hajimemashite, douzo yoroshiku onegaishimasu.

lol, wth are you on man?
Some youtube clips might help you with the correct pronounciation.

Anyway, back to topic:
sabuzero-san ha nan sai desu ka?

I forgot you can actually can form "di" in katakana, thanks for reminding me.

にじゅういちです。 おいくつですか。
nijuuichi desu. Oikutsu desu ka?

Actually this points out a "problem" with writing it in romanji instead of kana.

If you write the above sentence into kana it is correct but the "ha" (は) is actually pronounced "wa".
So it should be "sabuzero-san wa nansai desu ka?" although it's written like this: "サブゼロさんなんさいですか。"

Same with こんにち / konnichiwa and douzo which is pronounced as "doozo". So SubZero, do you prefer we write it in romanji or we write it the way it is spoken.

EDIT: Ok, it's not so much a problem since the problem occurs in romanji as well in kana. It's just a exception/rule you have to know :p.
EDIT2: It actually is about the difference between the pronouciation and the way it is written. It has nothing to with a difference between romanji and kana. Lol, I would so suck at teaching :p.

And about the kanji... to be honest I don't now any yet. I'm close to learning my first few but like I said in the other thread, I'm slow at learning languages. I'm not very far in Japanese at all to be honest (introducing myself is about it at the moment).
