Exciting news!!! (well for me, doubt anyone else cares lol) - FTP-Anime Forums

well i bought and read my first ever manga last month, i was totally gutteted when i got to the end and was only 6 episodes into the series! i found the anime and watched the rest but when i watch the first 6 episodes i was amazed at how diff it was from the manga. why dont they just make it the same? seems a bit odd

It's because they can't putt all the stuff that is in the manga in a anime movie else the serie will be more then 26 episodes. if you watch naruto you will see that its almost the same but because of that were now at episode 200+ !bawling

I like the fact that Naruto's still ongoing, I like the story and don't want it to end for now. Although I do hate the fillers, but we're over that (for now).
The story in the manga is getting better and better! So I can't wait to see them animated

i wouldnt mind watching 200 episodes of fruits basket! n i know im strange but atm im really enjoying the naruto fillers. i tink im the onlyone on the planet but hey

The reason manga differs from anime, is the same reason any literary work gets gutted cinematically. Artist interpretation of the original work(ego), budgets in anime vs. manga, and media translation problems. Though ballons only work in comics, don't believe me recall Spiderman on the Electric Company.

hmm i guess that's why getting both manga and anime is usually the thing to in my opinion, at least we're able to get the best of both worlds and if anything gets cutoff on anime, it could be on the manga for sure.

True, though usually not much is cut out, I think.
I must admit I'm not a huge reader of manga, but one thing that I do like is the fact that they keep the pace in the manga (unlike the anime sometimes, eg. Naruto). Also that the story keeps going even if the anime ends sometimes (like Gantz).
