Are there any Japanese series out there? Preferably subbed.
I know they make all kinds of series in Japan, not just anime. I saw Oshin when I was young and loved it, even tho it wasn't a kiddy show.
There must be more out there...?

You mean a live-action Japanese TV show?

If so, may I recommend Zatoichi, blind samurai who marvelously kicks ass.

If you mean films. Look no further than Akira "Cinema Gold" Kurosawa.

If you mean anime, I wonder what you're smoking, and can you hook me up with some(WHAT? It's like the guy doesn't notice the site is called FTP-Anime)

If you want, try Ring series, or The Eye. they are both horror, and don' mistake them with those US made...

Ofcause I meant live action, I already mentioned there being plenty of anime out there. And films are also enough available. I'm looking for series, preferably in 26 parts! (or longer than 2 hours anyway)

Mmmmhmm....isn't live-action => Manga/anime-adaption and JDoramas => "Standard-TV-Broadcasting-Show" or is it all the same?
Well, i'm just watching them, never thought about existing differences

Oshin! Cool, I didn't think anyone would know it outside of Asia.
Whatever you do, don't watch "Maid in Akihabara" it sucks ***.
Maybe "Liar Game", it's based on a Manga. I like the manga, but didn't think the show really lived upto my expectations (since I was already reading the manga), so didn't watch more than two episodes. But it was quite popular in Japan, when it was still airing on tv.
