"Lag" when playing files - FTP-Anime Forums

Hi everyone!

I have a question regarding the playback of FTP video files!

I have downloaded and watched the last 2 episodes of Wagaya no Oinari-sama and noticed something that looked like a lag on the video. It seems that in certain parts of the video, especially during zoomed sequences, the movement seems to loose a couple of frames and it appears like a slight slow-motion effect on my screen. This seems to be the case for both mkv and avi file. I was wondering if anyone knows why is this happening?!?

I use MPC plus the CCCP pack and I tried playing the files with VLC and WMP but no change in the slow-motion effect...I know my PC is not the issue here (Core2 processor, 4GB DDR2 800MHz, etc). I have lots of anime on my HD but this is the first time I noticed something like this so if anyone has a suggestion, or even better a solution, then please feel free to post it here!

PS: In order to check things I downloaded the Wagaya video files from Static Subs and checked them for lags but didn't find any...it's probably easy to say "Just download theirs then" but I really like the FTP subs so again if anyone knows why this is happening please let me know!

look at the news. There was a error in the encode. Download the new v2

Have you tried uninstalling cccp and reinstalling it ?

just a thought.

I kind of used the wrong raw last time... sorry...

I was just wondering if I did something wrong with my codecs...did you use the "wrong" raw for episode 9 & 10 as well?!? Cause those were the ones that showed signs of lag?!?

it could be your PC or a codec. Since I'm not having problems at all here

That kind of looks weird... I never seen something like that happening...

He failed to mention what video card he's using, the version of windows, and how he has the output render set in MPC.

Honestly Ketsurui, I don't know why you don't use the HD raws... If you did you wouldn't have had this problem. On a related note, if you could get me a copy of subtitle files I'd really appreciate it. Kudos/cookies to you if it has karaoke as well. I really don't want to use that other sub group's subtitles...
